L'on y devine, sinon la richesse, du moins l'aisance du propri&eacute;taire agricole. L'homme s'appelle Louis Cadoudal. C'est un colosse, et un redoutable champion de soule (*), cette anc&ecirc;tre fran&ccedil;aise, terriblement violente, du rugby. Par contraste sans doute, il a &eacute;pous&eacute; une toute petite jeune femme, Marie-Jeanne Le Boss&eacute;, devant laquelle ce g&eacute;ant file doux. Leur premier enfant est n&eacute; le 1er janvier 1771, un gar&ccedil;on qu'ils ont pr&eacute;nomm&eacute; Georges. Ils en auront cinq autres.</p>

D'apr&egrave;s Jusserand, ce jeu proviendrait de la Normandie, car tout ce qui&nbsp;<em style="box-sizing: inherit; line-height: inherit;">&laquo; &eacute;tait, au Moyen &Acirc;ge, d'origine normande ou angevine&raquo;.</em></p>
